What’s the difference between the Classic, Mamba, and Stif-Stik barrels?
Basically these are all the same, the only difference is cosmetic. The Classic finish is a smooth satin finish, the Mamba series have a shine and come in jet black as well as colors. The Stif-Stik line is a patent-pending process that Stiffi invented where colors and designs and permanently impregnated directly into the carbon fiber.
How much do Stiffi barrels weigh?
The 14” Stiffi barrel (our most popular) weighs only 1.7 ounces. Our longest 23” barrel weighs only 3 ounces.
What lengths can I get?
Since we make our barrels in house, we have the ability to customize. We make Stiffi barrels ranging from 4” all the way to 23”.
Where does the porting start?
Stiffi barrels have been extensively tested and proven to be the most accurate barrel made. The placement of the porting on every Stiffi barrel is scientifically designed for ideal performance.
The 14” Stiffi barrel porting begins at approx. 6 inches, while the 16” barrel porting begins at approx. 9”.
Stiffi barrels have a ‘zero co-efficient of thermal expansion’. What does that mean and why should I care?
Everyone knows that metal expands and contracts with temperature changes. Consistency is always your number one important factor for accuracy. Carbon has a Zero Co-Efficient of Thermal Expansion which means Stiffi will not expand or contract with temperature changes. So if you start playing in the morning when the temperature is cool, your Stiffi barrel is the EXACT same size later in the day when it warms up. So your shots are consistent throughout the day.
Why are Stiffi barrels so quiet?
Stiffi barrels were designed and created by engineers who understand carbon fiber properties, as well as paintball barrel technology. The layered carbon-fiber construction dampens sound and makes it incredibly quiet. Most customers say that the first time they shoot Stiffi barrels, they notice the muffled ‘cough’ it makes. Greg Hastings, the famous paintball player and game inventor, calls it ‘the shot silencing phenomenon’.
